Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it and how you get it back or deleted. Written to be read, not to be skipped.
1. Who we are
This website is published and operated by the data controller below. Any reference to “we”, “us” or “the company” in this policy means that entity.

2. Data we collect
We keep the amount of personal data we handle deliberately small.
| Category | Examples | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Enquiry details | Name, email address, telephone number, town or site address, service of interest, indicative budget, the description you write | You, via the contact form or by email |
| Project and contract data | Site address, technical details of the installation, quotes, orders, invoices, correspondence | You, during the project |
| Technical data | IP address, browser type, pages requested, date and time — recorded in the host server logs | Automatically, when you visit |
| Local storage | A single key recording your choice on the cookie notice | Your browser |
We do not collect special categories of data, we do not profile visitors, and we do not run advertising or analytics trackers on this site.
3. Why we process it and on what legal basis
- To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote — steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- To perform a contract once a quote is accepted: scheduling, executing and invoicing the works (Art. 6(1)(b)).
- To comply with legal obligations, in particular accounting and tax record-keeping (Art. 6(1)(c)).
- To keep the website secure and available, through host server logs — our legitimate interest in preventing abuse (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- To establish, exercise or defend legal claims where that becomes necessary (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Providing your name, email address and a description of the project is necessary for us to reply. Everything else is optional and only helps us give a more accurate answer.
4. How the contact form works
The enquiry form on this site does not send anything to a server of ours. When you submit it, your browser opens your own email application with a message pre-filled from the fields you completed. Nothing is transmitted until you press send in your email client, and no copy of the form is stored on this website.
Once you do send it, the message arrives in our mailbox and is processed as described in this policy.
5. How long we keep it
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Enquiries that do not lead to a contract | Up to 3 years from the last contact |
| Contract, project and correspondence files | For the duration of the contract, then up to 5 years from completion in line with the ordinary limitation period |
| Invoices and accounting records | 10 years, as required by Article L123-22 of the French Code de commerce |
| Server logs | Short-term, as configured by the host |
| Cookie-choice key in your browser | Until you clear your browser storage |
6. Who else sees it
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for marketing purposes. Your data may be accessible to:
- our email provider, which hosts the mailbox the enquiry arrives in;
- our website host, which operates the servers delivering these pages;
- our accountant, for invoices and accounting records;
- suppliers or subcontractors strictly where a project requires it, and limited to what they need;
- public authorities, courts or insurers where the law requires or permits it.
7. Transfers outside the European Union
Our own processing takes place in France. Some providers used to run this website and our mailbox may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, the transfer relies on a European Commission adequacy decision or on Standard Contractual Clauses. You can ask us which providers are involved and on what basis at any time.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and obtain a copy;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have data erased where one of the grounds in Article 17 applies;
- restrict processing in the cases set out in Article 18;
- receive the data you gave us in a portable format, or have it sent to another controller;
- object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
- give instructions on what happens to your data after your death, under French law.
Write to aldoweaverkotb@hotmail.com. We answer within one month; if the request is complex we may extend that by two further months and will tell you why. We may ask for proof of identity where there is genuine doubt about who is asking.
9. Security
We apply measures appropriate to the size of the company and the sensitivity of the data: access limited to people who need it, encrypted transport for this website, protected devices and mailboxes, and deletion of data that is no longer needed. No system is perfect; if a breach is likely to result in a high risk to you, we will inform you and the supervisory authority as required by Articles 33 and 34.
10. Changes to this policy
We update this page when our practices or the applicable rules change. The date at the top always reflects the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on the page for a reasonable period.
11. Contact and complaints
For any question about this policy or your data, write to aldoweaverkotb@hotmail.com or to the head office address above.
If you believe your rights are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with the French supervisory authority, the CNIL — 3 Place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07 — or with the authority of your habitual residence.
Something unclear in here?
Write to us and we will answer in plain language. Questions about your personal data are handled first.
